Name of the Project

The Culinary Course of Traditional Serbian Cuisine

Summary of the project

The Culinary Course of Traditional Serbian Cuisine offers guests an immersive experience in preparing authentic Serbian dishes. During a minimum two-night stay in a rural household, participants engage in six practical culinary sessions led by hosts. Guests learn to select quality local ingredients and prepare traditional dishes such as sarma, musaka, pasulj, gibanica, and more. After each session, they taste their creations and receive feedback for improvement. During autumn, guests participate in fruit and vegetable harvests, learning to select and prepare ingredients for jams, juices, and roasted peppers. They also engage in the traditional craft of rakija distillation, from fruit selection to distillation, with the option to take their products home. This course offers a hands-on culinary experience and a deeper understanding of Serbian gastronomy and traditions.
