Summary of the project
The accommodation services provided extend beyond lodging to include beekeeping, mead production, and other honey-related products. Following a visitation, a decision has been made to create an experiential tour of the local apiary, aiming to offer an immersive experience for guests. The tour involves actively engaging tourists in honey production tasks, culminating in a tasting session featuring the homestead's honey and mead. At the tour's conclusion, visitors have the option to purchase these products.
The introduction of this experiential tour serves as a strategic initiative to broaden the homestead's service offerings and enhance revenue, mitigating the challenges posed by the seasonal nature of rural tourism. This new service not only elevates the guest experience but also contributes to the preservation of cultural and culinary heritage in the region. By providing an informative and interactive encounter, the homestead ensures the perpetuation of local traditions for future generations.
